Intro & Advanced Intro sessions
INTRO: is for swimmers who are brand new to our sport and born 2016-2019
ADVANCED INTRO: is for swimmers born 2013-2019 who have taken 1+ Intro session (or Precomp in 2024/25) OR for swimmers born 2013-2015 who are brand new to our sport
Intro to Artistic Swimming is a once-weekly, sessional program that teaches the basics of artistic swimming.
Advanced Intro to Artistic Swimming is a once-weekly, sessional program that continues to teach the basics of artistic swimming - swimmers learn both new skills & improve known skills.
Both Intro & Advanced Intro serve as preparation for swimmers who may be considering the precompetitive program that starts in January.
8-10 week sessions (Intro and Advanced Intro)
Sundays at Millennium Place or Emerald Hills (TBC)
Fall session (9 weeks): Oct 5 -Dec 14, 2025 (includes Mini Water Show); omit dates Oct 12, Nov 9.
Fall practice time options: TBC.
Winter Session (8 weeks): Jan 4 - Mar 15, 2026 (includes Mini Water Show); omit dates Jan 25, Feb 15, & Feb 22.
Winter practice time option: TBC.
FEES - 2025/26 Season
Alberta Artistic Swimming & Canada Artistic Swimming Fees = $36.50/yr + admin fee. Paid directly to AAS via RAMP InterActive (link will be available in July). Choose “Recreational Swimmer” division.
Club Intro/Advanced Intro sessional program fees = TBC (Fall session); TBC (Winter session)
Pre Competitive
For swimmers born 2013-2018 and prerequisite swimming ability:
This program is intended for swimmers with previous recreational artistic swimming experience (e.g. our Intro, Advanced Intro, or Precompetitive classes; or any other recreational programs). *Swimmers with a strong swim background (e.g. competitive swimming, water polo, or those working on Rookie/Ranger/Star Patrol certification) should contact the club to discuss if this program is a fit for them.
This recreational program is a once-weekly, sessional program offered January-May. Swimmers build on the basics of artistic swimming as well as learn a choreographed team routine. Although these athletes do not attend competitions, performance opportunities include a full-day provincial, recreational event in the Spring and the club Year-End Water Show.
Sundays at Millennium Place or Emerald Hills (TBC).

Alberta Artistic Swimming & Canada Artistic Swimming Fees - recreational membership purchased in the Fall is valid from Sept 1, 2025-August 31, 2026

9 & 10
Swimmers born 2016 -2017
This is a competitive program that runs Sept - May.
2x week (~5 hr 15 min total per week) at Millennium Place.
Sundays 4:15-7:00 pm; Thursdays 5:15-7:45 pm. Practice times include both dryland and pool training.
First practice: Sept TBC**

11 - 12
Swimmers born 2015 & 2014
Previous competitive artistic swimming experience required.
This is a competitive program that runs Sept - May.
3x week (~8.25 hr total per week) at Millennium Place.
Sundays 4:15-7:00 pm; Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:15 to 8:00 pm. Practice times include both dryland and pool training.
First practice: TBC 2025**

Novice
1st Year Novice - Swimmers born 2011-2015 with no competitive experience
No Artistic Swimming experience is required.
This is a competitive program that runs Sept-May.
It is open to athletes who are 11 years of age & older by Dec 31, 2026 and who have never previously registered or competed as a competitive artistic swimming athlete.
2x weekly (~5.75 hr total per week) at Millennium Place
Sundays 4:15-7:00 pm; Thursdays 5:15-8:15 pm. Practice times include both dryland and pool training.
2nd Year Novice - Swimmers born 2013-2015 with 1 year of Novice experience
1 year of Novice competitive experience is required.
This is a competitive program that runs Sept-May.
It is open to athletes who are 13 -15 years of age by Dec 31, 2026 with only 1 year of competitive artistic swimming experience.
3x weekly option (~7.25hr total per week) at Millennium Place
Sundays 4:15-7:00 pm; Tuesdays 6:00-7:30pm; Thursdays 5:15-8:15 pm. Practice times include both dryland and pool training.
First practice: TBC 2025**
