Intro sessions
Intro to Artistic Swimming is a sessional program offered in the fall and winter. It follows the Canada Artistic Swimming Star Program and Long Term Athlete Development Program (LTAD). Intro to Artistic Swimming teaches the basics of artistic swimming and is open to swimmers aged 6 to 12. Swimmers in this program will practice once per week.
8-10 week sessions
Sundays at Emerald Hills from 1:00-2:15 pm
Fall session (10 weeks): Sept 24 -Dec 10, 2023 (includes Mini Water Show); omits dates Oct 9, Nov 12
Winter Session (8 weeks): Jan 7-Mar 17, 2024 (includes Mini Water Show); omit dates Jan 28, Feb 18, Feb 25.
FEES - 2023/24 Season
Alberta Artistic Swimming Fees - $32.05/yr+GST. (Paid directly to AAS.)
Club sessional program fees - $230 (Fall session); $185 (Winter session)
Pre Competitive
This program is open to swimmers aged 7 to 12 and runs alongside our competitive program from Sept to May. It is a recreational program that offers swimmers the chance to learn the basics of artistic swimming as well as learn a choreographed team routine. Although these athletes will not attend provincial competitions, there will be performance opportunities throughout the season with a highlight being a half or full day recreational event in the Spring. Swimmers in this program will practice once per week.

Swimmers born 2015 & 2014
This is a competitive program that runs Sept - May.
2x week (5 hr 15 min total per week)
Sundays at Emerald Hills from 1:00-3:30 pm; Thursdays at Millennium Place from 5:15-8:00 pm. Practice times include both dryland and pool training.
First practice date: Sept 7, 2023
**Note: Thursday Sept 7, 14, & 21 practices will be at Kinsmen Leisure Centre due to annual maintenance at Millennium Place.

Swimmers born 2013 & 2012
This is a competitive program that runs Sept - May.
3x week (8 hr total per week)

Novice
Swimmers born 2013 & earlier
This is a competitive program open to athletes who are 11 years of age & older by Dec 31, 2024 and who have never previously registered or competed as a competitive artistic swimming athlete. Athletes normally swim in this category for only 1 year.
No Artistic Swimming experience is required.
3x week (8 hr total per week)
*For 2023—24 season, there is 2x weekly training option (Sun/Thurs; 5.25 hr/week; reduced Club fees). Contact us to learn more.
